Whats for dinner...

Tonight is going to be country style ribs, baked beans,cole slaw..Recipes already posted for you guys.

My daughters favorite thing in the world to eat is ribs. I make these all the time for her. And since the weather is so warm we grilled them out side. No need to heat the house up....


3 or 4 lbs. country style ribs
1/2 cup worcestershire
2 tablespoon cider vinegar
1teas. Dijon mustard
2 teas. Garlic and herb seasoning
1 clove garlic


Mix the worcestershire,cider vinegar,Dijon mustard and garlic together.  Place in a plastic bag and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Take out and sprinkle with garlic and herb seasoning and grill for about 30 to 40 minutes..


Baked Beans

2 15 oz. cans pork n beans
1 tablespoon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon ketchup
bacon

Mix the beans, mustard, sugar and ketchup all together. Place in a casserole dish and crumb bacon all over the top of the bean mixture and bake 35o for 30 minutes. These go great with the ribs and mac-n-cheese...





Cole Slaw

1 head a cabbage
1 wedge of purple cabbage
1 cup mayo
2 tablespoons pickle juice
1 carrot shredded finely
1/2 jar dill pickle relish
salt and pepper to taste
morton seasoning salt to taste

Shredded both cabbage's and carrot together. Add mayo,pickle juice,pickle relish, salt, pepper and morton seasoning salt. If slaw isn't moist enough add more mayo.

Taco Pie.. Whats for dinner..

As you guys all know I love me some mexican food. This is a new recipe that I got from a friend Marla. It is really yummy.

1 8 oz pk. refrigerated crescent rolls
1 lb. ground beef
1 pk taco seasoning
1 16 oz sour cream
8 oz shredded mexican style cheese
1 14oz bag Doritos chips crushed


Preheat oven to 350. Lay the crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Bake according to package directions. Brown meat and add taco season. When rolls are done take out and spread the meat over it. Then spread sour cream, mexican cheese and top with crushed Doritos. Bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and enjoy..

Pumpkin Bars..

With the cooler weather approaching, I have been trying new recipes for our fall halloween party. I am looking forward to seeing what the kids think of this one..

4 eggs
1 2/3 cups white sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teas. baking powder
1 teas. baking soda
2 teas. cinnamon
1 teas. salt

1 3 oz pk. cream cheese softened
1/2 cup butter softened
1 teas. vanilla
2 cups confectioners sugar

Preheat oven 350.  In a medium bowl mix the eggs,sugar, oil and pumpkin together until lightly and fluffy. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon. Add to egg mixture.  Spread evenly in a 10x15 baking dish.   Cool before frosting.

Mix cream cheese, butter, vanilla and confectioners sugar together and icing.  These are yummy..

Vegetable Beef Soup..

 Perfect rainy day dinner..
 lb. ground beef or left over roast
1 can diced tomatoes
1 1\2 cup frozen limas
1 1\2 cup frozen corn
1 cup frozen mixed vegetable
2 can diced potatoes
2 cans beef broth
Mix all ingredients together and cook until all potatoes are done. Make some cornbread and dig in..

Applesauce bars..

Today was our towns yearly fall apple festival and this got me wanting something with apples. It's raining today to, so whats better than a nice warm applesauce bar and a glass of milk. Yummy..

1/4 cup butter softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas salt
1 teas. pumpkin pie spice

1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
3 tablespoon margarine melted
1 tablespoon milk
1 teas. vanilla

Preheat oven 350. In a bowl mix butter, brown sugar,egg until smooth. Stir in applesauce. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and pumpkin pie spice. stir all together until well blended. Spread evenly into a 9x13 baking dish. Bake 25 minutes. Cool and in a small bowl mix confectioners sugar, margarine,milk and vanilla together and icing cooled bars. enjoyed..
